In war-torn Paris of 1916, bohemian artist Amedeo Modigliani—known as Modi—finds himself caught in a whirlwind of chaos over the course of seventy-two hours. Fleeing from the police and battling inner demons, he wrestles with the decision to abandon his career and escape the city. But his circle of fellow artists, including Maurice Utrillo, Chaim Soutine, and his enigmatic muse Beatrice Hastings, refuse to let him walk away. Seeking guidance from his loyal art dealer, Leopold Zborowski, Modi spirals through a night of fevered hallucinations and self-doubt. As reality and delusion blur, his fate takes a dramatic turn when he comes face to face with American collector Maurice Gangnat—the one man who could alter the course of his life forever.
