A Better Way to Die
Boomer, a rookie cop in the gritty streets of downtown Chicago, is devastated by the death of his mentor, Carlos, during a drug bust. The traumatic loss shakes Boomer's faith in the justice system, leading him to resign from the police force and return to his hometown of Joliet to start fresh with his fiancée, Kelly. However, his journey takes an unexpected and dangerous turn when he encounters a stranded motorist along the way. In his attempt to help, Boomer is knocked out, waking up to find his car and wallet gone, and himself entangled in a high-stakes game of mistaken identity. Unbeknownst to him, he’s now a target in a twisted scheme that could cost him everything he holds dear. As Boomer races against time to unravel the truth, he must confront his past, his disillusionment with the system, and a web of crime that’s more dangerous than he could have imagined.
