Primatologist Davis Okoye has a deep, unbreakable bond with George, a brilliant silverback gorilla he’s raised since birth. However, when a rogue genetic experiment goes horribly wrong, George is transformed into a monstrous, uncontrollable beast. Soon, it’s revealed that other animals have been similarly altered, becoming terrifying predators wreaking havoc across North America. With the world on the brink of disaster, Okoye joins forces with a disgraced genetic engineer to find an antidote.
